When I was a kid, we loved to make friendship bracelets out of embroidery floss. We would weave different designs and give them to each other. It was so much fun. We even took it a step further and started weaving them into pieces in the back of our hair. Oh the memories. A couple of years ago someone bought Lily and friendship bracelet kit. At first she was pretty excited but the excitement wore off really quick… before she finished the first one. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when a friend of Lily’s gave her a Rainbow Loom Kit because she had gotten two at her birthday party. When she first showed it to me I figured it would be like the other kit… amusing for a couple of hours then she would be done. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Lily has made bracelets like crazy. She started with the basic design but wanted more so she went online to www.rainbowloom.com and started watching the tutorials.
Check out a few of the bracelets that she made me. She even made a blue and green one for JP that he wears sometimes.
She has made so many bracelets that she is running out of rubber bands so I went online and ordered her some more.
This is what the loom looks like.
I am not exactly sure how it works but if you want to find out you can go to their website and watch a bunch of different videos for different patterns.
