How To Make A Charlie Brown Christmas Tree
Categories: Christmas, Crafty Daisy

For some reason we are just not that into decorating for Christmas this year. Usually we go all out and make our yard a sight to see. This year none of us really feel like it…. so we decided not to. But you know me… I can’t just do NOTHING with the yard. So I thought and thought and thought and this is what I came up with.

I went to Lowe’s and asked the guy for the cheapest ugliest tree possible. I even asked if he had any out back in the dumpster. This made him curious and asked why. I explained to him what I wanted to do and it made him laugh. He walked us out to the trees that they had for sale and told me to pick a tree. We let Lily pick the tree and she dragged it to the counter.

The guy helping us asked if we also wanted him to cut it for us. Heck yeah!

I am not sure why google picasa likes adding those twinkles but lets go with it.

He even let Lily help with some of the chopping. In the end he charged us $5 for the mutilated tree.

I went out in the garage and found some left over spray paint. I wanted to tree to look a little bit cartoon-ish.

Then I added a clamp to the top in order to get the bent effect.

I put the tree in a stand and dragged it down to the end of the yard. Next I added one big red ornament and Linus’ security blanket (which is actually just a blue towel that I bought at the store for $9). I think it is perfect!!
