The Happy Ferns
Categories: Plants

All of the plants in our backyard are very happy! They love the sun we have had and they love the rain we have had.

Last week I moved the Fox Tail Fern that we got back in February from over near the back deck to on top of the pool deck. I was a bit nervous about moving him because I didn’t know if he would be able to handle all that sun. I know from years of experience that a plant will tell you right away if it is unhappy its new spot. Seriously within 24 hours you will know if it needs to be moved somewhere else. Doesn’t he look happy for now?

When I went outside the day after moving him I saw that he now has the little white flowers that I read about. He sat in the other spot for a few months and never flowered. Then he sat on the pool deck for one day and has flowers all over… I would say he loves his new spot.

And speaking of happy plants. I love all of my plants but I have a special place in my heart for my Boston Fern. He is very happy and growing like crazy. I went back in my picture archives to see what he looked like when I first got him and I am so amazed. See below for his 2011, 2012 and 2013 pictures.
