I am very proud to announce that I had a grocery shopping milestone today. When I started making my shopping list I knew that I needed enough food to get us from today at lunch until at least Wednesday morning. We learned the hard way a couple of years ago that even though we live in a town of almost 2,000,000 people it is almost impossible to find a restaurant that is open on Christmas Day. Luckily my shopping only has to feed three people. It took me about 20 minutes to come up with everything that I need. I need to note that I am usually a one or two meal at a time shopper.

Then I headed off to the grocery store. I even remembered to bring my own bags. Am I the only person who has like 30 re-usable bags at home because I always forget to bring the ones that I have already bought? Does anyone have any tips for me on remembering to bring my re-usable bags?

The store was insanely busy but I pushed my way through it and about an hour or so later I was back out at my car.

This is a good example of why Lily hates grocery shopping when we drive my car to the grocery store.

As I was about to pull out of my parking spot JP called me and told me not to back up… what? I didn’t realize that he was in the same parking lot as I was. Funny, right? I thought he was out Christmas shopping but now I secretly think he was out stalking me.
