The other day Lily told me that she wanted a new pair of dress shoes. She said she wanted them to be black with a strap across the front. Then she said “I think they are called Mary’s”. How cute is that? She was asking for a pair of mary janes. Since she had early release today it was the perfect day for a little after school shopping. We headed to The Rim Shopping Center not to far from our house to look around. We looked around for a while and couldn’t find exactly what she was looking for but we did find a pair of Sketchers that were similar to mary janes. She didn’t like them at first and described them as feeling like she was walking on a couch when she wore them. Seriously? I’d think that walking on a couch would be a good thing. We ended up buying them and I told her we could keep our eye out for exactly what she was looking for.
Next up we headed over to Old Navy because she said there was something she had to show me. She said she was in the store a few days ago with her dad but he wouldn’t let her try it on. What is it you ask? A vest… Lily wants a vest. I told her maybe in next month when it starts to get cooler.
Next we stopped at Starbucks for a drink.
After that we went to the grocery store. Lily is such a trooper sometimes. We bought a bunch of grocerys and they wouldn’t all fit in the trunk so I had to put like 5 bags around her feet.
After dinner she asked me if she could make milkshakes. I did not teach her how to make them but she said she has done it a bunch of times at her dads. When I walked back in the kitchen she had all the ingredients set out and said “Grab your camera so you can put this on the blog”.
How to make a milkshake according to Lily!
All you need is a blender, milk, vanilla ice cream, strawberries, and a banana.
Put all of your ingredients in the blender but makes sure you don’t put the banana peel in.
Once you blend it all together it is ready to pour in a glass and drink.
Pretty simple, right?
