Today is Lily’s 10th birthday! Her party is this weekend but I wanted to make sure that today was extra special for her so I took cupcakes to her class.
When I first got there I had to sit in the back of the class and wait for their lesson to be over.
Then the teacher had Lily come sit by me and pass out the cupcakes to each kid.
They look pretty good, right?
I always buy cupcakes from Target because they are the best I have ever had. If you haven’t tried them go there next time your buying them. Plus they are only $14.99 for two dozen.
Lily usually goes to after school care on Tuesdays and her Dad picks her up when he gets off of work. But since today is a special day I told her we could go have an afternoon of fun and I would drop her off at her dads work right before 6:00.
They just opened a new fun center near our house named Main Event. They have lots and lots of things to do there and the best part was that when we pulled up in the parking lot Lily had no idea what it was.
The first thing we did was play a game of laser tag. This is the first time either of us played laser tag and it turned out to be our favorite activity.
You get points for shooting someone… Lily beat me by like a 1,000 points.
Next up we bought cards for the arcade part.
Is this not the coolest game ever? Who knew you could play a massive game of Connect Four.
By the time we spent all the money on our cards we had about 30 minutes to kill so we headed over to the bowling area.
Lily still uses bumpers but is a pretty good bowler… I am thinking next time she needs to bowl without them.
When we were leaving Lily was so sweet when she said “Thanks for taking me here mom, I had so much fun”. Then she followed it up with “I think we should do this every Tuesday”. Oh geesh!!
