Last night I was on the phone with JP and we started talking about the future. Yes, the beautiful, exciting, wonderful, happy future! Sure a few years from now is hard to talk about because most of it is unknowns, but it is still fun to toss around ideas about what path we are going to take. What excites me the most is the near future. I have said it before and I will say it again; I need to have things to look forward to. I can’t imagine living a life knowing that I will do the same thing day after day after day… BORING! I live for excitement, I want to learn new things, I want to go new places, I want to know at least a little bit about as many things as possible. There are possibly a few exciting things coming up in the next couple months… have you ever been to Mardi Gras? Can you imagine the fun we could have? Not to mention the food we could eat… bring on the crawfish, the etoufee, the muffulettas… now I’m hungry!
So as I was laying in bed this morning I started thinking about the things I have on my own personal 2012 list. I got up and made some coffee and then went back to my bedroom. In my opinion the ultimate best place to drink coffee is in bed. The bed is warm, the coffee is warm… yum! When JP is in town he almost always brings me coffee in bed because he knows that I love it.
One of the many things I want to do is take more classes. Last year I had a lot of fun taking my photography class and now I want more knowledge. A couple weeks ago I got the Spring 2012 class catalog from NISD Community Education. I have looked through it at least a dozen times trying to decide what I want to learn next. I grabbed my laptop, the catalog and my calendar.
I went through the catalog again and narrowed it down to a few different classes. Then I checked the dates, times and duration of the class and narrowed it down to two.
And I signed myself up for a class about Acrylic Painting and another one about Cake Decorating. These are both things that I don’t really know much, if anything about. I want to learn how people make homemade cakes look so pretty. Do you see the $129.40 total at checkout?
Looks like NISD needs to get a new computer programer… look at my receipt. Instead of getting an early bird discount of $14.40 they gave me a $43.20 discount. Hmmm…
