I was in Washington, DC from Saturday 12/3 until Wednesday 12/7 visiting my amazing friend Angela. I use the word amazing and I mean it but there are like a million other words I could use to describe her. She is one of the people that truly enrich my life. Her awesome friend Gina was also visiting from Florida while I was there and we make a fantastic trio! It has been decided that we will remain in each others lives forever.
I had an awesome time and I saw so many things that I didn’t even know how to begin this blog post. Not only did I get to spend lots of quality time with Angela and Gina but I was also lucky enough to have dinner with my brother Alex who was in town on business one of the days. I was also lucky enough to have dinner with my cousin Justine who lives down the road in Alexandria, VA. I could type on for days and post a ton of pictures but I decided to keep it short and post a few of my favorite pictures.
It was a hard to narrow it down to a handful of pictures considering the fact that I took over 200 pictures not including the ones on Gina’s camera.
Here I am at one of the many Smithsonian’s that we went to. Did you know that most everything in D.C. has free admission?
My favorite thing inside of one of the Smithsonian’s was Dorthy’s slippers.
Is this penny huge or are my feet small?
Angela being silly.
The trio hiding behind the Berlin Wall.
Be careful Angela! As soon as I snapped this picture I told them we had to get out of that area fast before we got busted.
This was taken at the Vietnam Memorial. I didn’t actually throw any coins in but there were tons of them already in there.
The trio!
Me goofing off.
We had dinner at a restaurant named Lincoln with my brother. The floor was covered in pennies. After dinner we were told there is $8,000 worth of pennies on the floor.
While we were waiting for my cousin to get off of work we headed to Alexandria, VA via the metro. The girl behind the bar told me that they chase tequilla with an orange wedge sprinkled with cinnamon. I would totally try this again… sooo good!
Us at the Lincoln Memorial.
I don’t really know what was going on in this picture but I love it.
Angela is moving out of Washington, DC sometime in the next month or so but I totally want to go back again. If you are ever thinking about going there be sure to invite me because I will probably take you up on it!

Glad we got a chance to finally catch up!
