Soft Boiled Eggs

Do other people eat soft boiled eggs? I never hear anyone talk about eating them. I love love love them and so does Lily. I am not a big fan of hard boiled eggs because I like them cooked less. I think it is perfect when you crack into the egg and the yolk is still runny. We have a few egg serving cups that never get used because I prefer to put them in a coffee cup or small bowl. I have never even tried to use them because I think it will make a huge mess when you bust the yolk. Am I wrong about that? I decided to give it a try today.

But then I chickened out and put them in a bowl for her.

On another note this is the funniest thing I have seen so far today!

    Joy uses egg cups for her soft boiled eggs. She does mix them with saltines so it works.

    Oh yes, soft boiled eggs! I discovered this in Germany where some people add it to their breakfast sausage or lunch meat sandwich. I got chicken egg cups for Christmas one year. Engjoy!

    When I was at Zerah’s, she had soft boiled egg cups. She just took the top off the egg and ate it from the shell. I didn’t like hard boiled eggs either…until recently. Chris and the kids love them and so I make them a lot and now like them. I think mom always overcooked them that is why we didn’t like hard boiled eggs. Bring eggs to boil, turn off heat, put on lid and let them sit for 10 minutes. Then put in cold water and peel. Shake salt & pepper over them. Good stuff.

    I’ve never had soft boiled eggs. As long as the egg white is cooked I’m sure I’ll like them. Not much worse than a runny egg white, yuck! Thanks Vanessa, I love hard boiled eggs, but usually over cook them, so I don’t make them often. Must try today. :)
