Fundamentals of Photography

I went to my first official photography class today! I found it through a community education website about a month or so ago. For the first time in my life I sat through a class and actually heard every word that the teacher said. My mind didn’t drift in any direction other than what he was talking about and I actually enjoyed it. This is a big deal for me considering I usually have a very short attention span.

This session was mostly about shutter speed. I have a homework assignment to take multiple pictures using the different TV (time value) settings on my camera. I am going to do it tomorrow during the day so that I can use natural light. I am pretty excited about next week when we learn about aperture.

Good for you Rose, I remember when I went back to school a thousand years ago. I was so excited everyday to get to class and when I got my grades, it was so great because the “A” was still there in the morning, not like moping the floor and having kids spill orange juice on it!!!
