A Not So Daily Dose of Daisy

When I first started my website it wasn’t really a problem but as time goes on and I post more and more information the spam that I receive via comments seems to get worse and worse.  I have my comments section set up with a rule that says “Comment author must have a previously approved comment”. It is that simple, if you have an approved comment on here simply fill out your name and email address and it will automatically post. If you don’t fill out that information it goes to my spam comments section. I usually go in daily and delete the spam but for the last week I have been saving them up. I seriously wonder how this works for the spammers? How much time do they spend finding websites and cutting and pasting their comment in there? The comments are always off topic or advertising whatever it is that they are selling.

Here are some of the comments that I have sitting in my spam right now:

This comment was on the She Stalks CuriousDaisy. I am still trying to figure out what exactly she thinks she ordered from me?  “I seriously enjoyed navigating in addition to ordering from your site. It is amazingly, very simple to use and convenient to use. Great job for a fabulous web page. Would just as to claim what excellent service you’ve provided! Order gotten in ENGLISH only 10 days after i placed that, I seriously wasn’t expecting it that will quickly! The items are very lovely. I will surely be ordering from an individual again. Great high quality, great expense. What more has to be said?” –

This comment was on the Stir Sticks posting. Uhhh not talking about sports or clothing… just my love for stir sticks. “Sporting events kind a key portion of each of our everyday life and a lot of organizations will be affiliated around providing fashionable in addition to critical activities clothing. Many prominent runners endorse they and use these individuals over the go with. You’ll discover a number of sports footwear in addition to apart from the qualified many individuals choose to don most of these branded shoes or boots.”

This comment was on The Emerald City posting  and they have obvious grammatical issues! YIKES! “I’m the seond time to come http://www.curiousdaisy.com and just saying hello. I really like this great site. http://www.curiousdaisy.com alwasy has amazing idea. Great web- Breast Massagers”

Someone advertising Ugg Boots said“It such a good day for me that i read your blog. Thanks for posting..”  Really? I am seriously happy that you had such a good day cause of me.

These Ugg Boots people drive me crazy! So many spams from them, another one says “I have been trying to acces this website for a while. I was using Chrome then when I tried Firefox, it worked just great? Just wanted to bring this to your attention. This is really good website. I have a bunch myself. I really admire your layout. I know this is off topic but,did you make this design yourself,or buy from somewhere?”

Some guy named Paul Green said “If you’re serious about making money with your website, watch this free video about getting free instant targeted traffic to your site” … for the record I don’t make a dime from this website. If anything, it costs me money!

Another Ugg spammer said “Greetings everyone, This website is good quality and so is the way the matter was explained. I like some of the comments as well although I would suggest we all keep it on topic so that to add value to the topic. It will be also encouraging to the person who wrote it if we all could pass it around (for many of us who use bookmarking services such as a reddit, twitter,..). Again, Thanks..” Yeah so I totally shamelessly promote my website… whatever!

Someone at the umbilical cord blood bank posted “There is certainly an exception to every last rule” on the posting about the lizards.

Over a year ago I did a posting about our new washer and dryer and that posting is the one that gets about 3-10 comments a day. I guess spammers love Electrolux cause this is what they thirstily have to say “I agree with your conclusions and will thirstily look forward to your upcoming updates. Just saying thanks will not just be adequate, for the exceptional clarity in your writing. I will immediately grab your rss feed to stay privy of any updates. Genuine work and much success in your business efforts!”

Seriously spammers! Leave me alone or my 3 year old self will give you the stink eye!
