I have never really been a big fan of apples but today at work when I was thinking about what to make for dinner apples came to mind. I started googleing and I came up with Apple Stuffed Pork Chops. These are the basic ingredients.
Once everything is all chopped up and put in the same bowl it looks like this.
I had to call my bestie Amanda to figure out what to do with the fresh Sage that the recipe called for. When I bought it I totally assumed by the packaging that it was from Texas. Seriously go back and look at the first picture to see why I thought that. After I got home and turned the package over I realized it is not a product of Texas.
This is what the final plate looked like. The little brownish things on top are sauteed raisins. It turned out great! This is the first time I made edameame at home. I fed Lily edamame a few months ago and she was very surprised and happy to find it on her plate tonight.
After dinner I gave Lily a couple things that I bought for her on my last trip. Remember the dragon that I showed you the other day? She read the sign he was holding and said “I don’t get it… what is a tourist?”. Sometimes I forget that she is only 8. The other thing I gave her was a mask that I picked out for her in New Orleans. I kinda explained to her what it was. She was so excited.
She stood and she stared at herself in the mirror for a long time without really saying anything. Then she said “Mom did you get one?” I said “No” then she said “Mom can we go get you one and then we can have a party where we were our masks?”. A girl after my own heart!
