I was sitting at work today daydreaming about what to take a picture of and then I started thinking about my lost camera. Sad, very sad. I couldn’t help but think about how stupid a lot of my pictures would be from now on because I would have to use my phone. Don’t get me wrong I do have another Canon camera that is red but it sucks and it does not do the job that my awesome Canon Poweshot D10 does. I thought back to the first picture I ever took with it back on March 4, 2010 (seems like its been a lot longer than that, huh?). I would say that 99% of the pictures posted on this website since that day were taken with big blue. Sigh….
Sometimes I ramble.. just talk talk talk.. today I feel like rambling so here goes.
When I left work today I knew it would be warm but I didn’t know it would be this warm! Ever since I stopped smoking I don’t usually have a reason to go outside during the day. Can you believe I haven’t smoked in 282 days. Every once in awhile I get an urge but that is about as far as it gets.. just an urge. So you guess it, I totally put the top down on my car for the ride home! Looks like it’s gonna be a great week!
I was so excited when I checked the mail today and I found a manilla envelope addressed from my sister Vanessa. For the last like 10+ years (probably more) my sister has made a family calendar for everyone with everyones birthday and all of the major holidays on it. Last year it helped me post a Happy Birthday to all of my siblings on here. Vanessa remembers that because the day after my brother Alex’s birthday this year she called me to let me know I missed it. I didn’t actually miss it I just didn’t want to do the same thing as last year. If anyone out here wants me to do a Happy Birthday message to them please let me know at least one day in advance! I am pretty sure I have every single one she has made and if I were not so lazy I could go upstairs and figure out exactly when she started making them. People don’t realize how much work it is to make one of these. I did it for a couple years with pictures of Lily but I quickly lost interest. Thank you Vanessa for making these every year! Here it is! Once we get to a month where I am in the picture maybe I will give you another glimpse.
Speaking of mail I have another weird thing to share with you guys. So most of you know about my getting pulled over lately spree that I was on. For those of you that don’t I will embarassingly admit that I was pulled over 3 separate times in less than 30 days. And I was ticketed all 3 times. The 1st and 3rd times were totally my fault but the 2nd time I was able to resolve the ticket and get it dismissed. I have sworn to JP that I will no longer speed and that it doesn’t matter if I am going to get there 5 minutes later I will still not speed. Anyways at the beginning of January I mailed off a check to the City of San Antonio for $181.10 (that is how much it costs to go 17 mph over the posted speed limit). I figured it had been settled and all was taken care of… that was until I got a letter from the City of San Antonio. When I opened it up the first thing my eyes see is “Amount returned: $181.10″ and I was like OMG, noooo way. But as I start to read the letter I realized that they are telling me that they are returning my check to me because I didn’t sign it. So I look at the check that they returned to me and I realize that not only did I not sign it, I also didn’t put a date on it… smooth, very smooth. So anyways I keep reading and it tells me that I have until 2/25/11 to send them a check or money order for $112.10. What I want to know is why the cost of my ticket went down by $68.00 if anyone out there knows I would love to be enlightened.
Just in case you were wondering this is the book I am reading right now.
Like I said yesterday I spent like an hour looking for my beloved camera. JP even helped me look… nothing. Today when I got home I started looking again. I spent about an hour looking EVERY WHERE! I looked in the garage, in the kitchen, in the freezer, in the pantry, out by the pool, in my closet, seriously everywhere!!! And then I gave up. But then I had an idea. Just so I could eliminate it I looked in my softball bag. Bingo. The most ridiculous part of the whole thing is that I must have put it in my bag then when I was leaving for softball and JP asked where it was I had forgotten that I already put it in my bag. Ugghh.

Thank you for the calendar…it does take a lot of work. I read all 3 Steig Larson books and liked them. The movies are great (Swedish ones), if you don’t mind subtitles. Chris enjoyed the movies too!
Thank you for writing the best blog ever, it makes me miss you a tiny tiny smidgen less.
