Lily woke me up around 8am this morning to tell me she was hungry. We did some stuff around the house and then started prepping breakfast. We are big fans of fruit around here. Lily’s job was to wash the fruit. We have raspberries from California.
Strawberries from Mexico (they look orange in the picture but they were not that orange in person).
And cherries from Chili.
It is a rainy day outside but we had a few last minute things to throw in the recyling bin before it was picked up so Lily voluntered to run down to the curb. She was all wet when she got back.
We woke up JP before we started cooking because it is his job to make the bacon around here. Then we brought out the Christmas china.
I made the french toast. I think the powered sugar looks like snow. Very fitting for Christmas time.
We poured the orange juice.
And heated up the syrup.
We even had two Little Miss Mistletoes sitting on the counter. I looked them up and they are from 1959.
Here is our breakfast table. Yum!
Lily’s favorite meal of the day is breakfast!
