Day #9 – Chicago – The final day

Today was the last day of our vacation so we figured we better take full advantage of it. After we woke up we headed to breakfast at a place the lady inside the hotel recommended. When we stepped outside it was still cold!

We walked a few blocks and found the place but it was packed so we headed to a more local place that was not packed and just down the block.

Then we hopped in a cab.

And made our way over to Navy Pier.

I have always liked signs like this.

This picture was taken toward the end of the pier with the city behind me.

We were cold so we headed inside for some hot chocolate.

And to buy a souvenier. I love snow globes!

We even got in the silly picture booth.

Then we took another cab and we did just what you are suppose to do in Chicago, we had hot dogs at Portillo’s.

After that we decided out last stop before heading to the airport should be the top of the John Hancock building. We had to wait in line for about 30 mintues before we got to the top but it was well worth the wait.

Check out this view from about 1,000 feet above the city.

We had no idea Santa would be up at the top of the John Hancock. Lily was scared at first so I agreed to go up with her.

After this we headed to the airport and our vacation was over.
